This is the first ever extensive dictionary of Netwar language (western Tanna, Republic of Vanuatu) published online. It is the fruit of several years of my work among the inhabitants of the island of Tanna. It contains translations of local expressions, pronunciation recordings and photographic documentation. Its purpose is to help in the preservation of the language and in passing it to the young generation.

Mluvčí: Noël Yeru (Lowanatom)

, pokud akci provádí více lidí, používá se 'haipu'. Ex.: Iamwén apa lé nekin nasuman kani mahapu tahak napen. ~ Šel jsem pracovat na pole a roztrhl jsem si oblečení.
- v haipu , pouze pokud akci provádí více lidí. srov.: 'hapu'. Ex.: Kamhaipu numa sia la katar min. ~ Roztrhneme napůl náš list kokosovníku., kokosové listy se, například při výrobě 'kemélu', snadno dají roztrhnout podél řapíku. Přísloví toho využívá jako obraz lidí, kteří se rozdělí. Používá se při loučení a rozchodech po společné cestě nebo po setkání, případně i obrazně při rozvodu.
