This is the first ever extensive dictionary of Netwar language (western Tanna, Republic of Vanuatu) published online. It is the fruit of several years of my work among the inhabitants of the island of Tanna. It contains translations of local expressions, pronunciation recordings and photographic documentation. Its purpose is to help in the preservation of the language and in passing it to the young generation.

- n game, each of the players draws around him a circle on the ground. The game starts with a small dialogue between two of the players, after which all become silent and try to make laugh each other by making funny faces. The one, who laughs first or who scratches himself or spits must defend his circle against the other players, who try to step into it. The one who steps into the defenders' circle without being touched by him can stretch his arm and grab another player outside the circle, so the defender cannot touch that player too. If the defender manages to touch a player, it is the touched one, who has on his turn defend his circle. During the game ridiculing songs are sung about the player who is actually defending his circle.
