2007 Ireland, Dublin, DCU, Galway
During my university studies the University of Ostrava has established a cooperation with Dublin City University in Ireland under the exchange program of Socrates-Erasmus. An opportunity not to be missed. Together with my colleague and friend Tomasz we went through the selection procedure and in January 2007 we flew for one semester to Ireland to study "Business Informatics". The courses were very interesting, although quite far away of our usual courses and specialization. Nothing to be complained about, it only gave us a healthy perspective about informatics in general. When I was tired of studying, I went with a good book to my favorite hideaway in the university park (oh, the luxury of having a park on campus!), went to the church of Our Lady of Victories just behind the university or took a trip to Dublin city center. It is a peasant walk from DCU and Dublin is a really nice town to visit.
