This is the first ever extensive dictionary of Netwar language (western Tanna, Republic of Vanuatu) published online. It is the fruit of several years of my work among the inhabitants of the island of Tanna. It contains translations of local expressions, pronunciation recordings and photographic documentation. Its purpose is to help in the preservation of the language and in passing it to the young generation.

- v hoti Ex.: Ieram asul ramhoti nauganan lé suatu min. ~ The chief distributes the food to the roads., during traditional ceremonies the people come to the nakamal from its surroundings by the four customary ways from four different directions. Speaking about a group coming from a particular road, it is usually referred simply as the "road". When the time comes after a customary ceremony to distribute the food, it is then not said to be distributed to the "people", but to the "roads".
- v awra Ex.: Iamawrai prét to piak. ~ I am sharing bread with my brother.
